European IT Excellence Awards 2011 Winners announced. Sigma Consultancy is pleased to announce it has been a winner in the European IT Excellence Awards for 2011, the leading pan-European awards event for IT channels. The award winners received their awards at the Gala award dinner at the London Marriott, Grosvenor Square on 10th February 2011. Sigma Consultancy is the Winner in the Data & Information Management Category based on the project developed for the Istanbul Main Municipality providing a completely automated, secure, and open platform for all correspondence and document management processes. The goal of the project was to create transparency in all municipality correspondence processes and to raise citizen satisfaction through efficient management of citizen centric correspondence processes. This application is one of the largest e-government solutions implemented in Turkey. Since the project started to be used, the system has reached 1 Terabyte of data and more than 4 million processes have been initiated. Process status is monitored online and average arrival time of the citizens application to the relevant units is decreased from 1 hour to 7 minutes, greatly improving citizen satisfaction. The solution provides end-to-end document lifecycle management and business process automation for the municipality.
